FAN STORY | “Valencia CF is a feeling, a passion”
Discover the story of the Sanchis family, Valencia CF season ticket holders living in Ibiza who travel to watch the team’s matches at Mestalla
Every two weeks, the Sanchis family travel over 200 km (from Ibiza to Valencia) to watch the team of their lives - Valencia CF - play their matches at Mestalla. A feeling and a passion, passed down from generation to generation.
“We were born in Valencia, but we have been living in Ibiza for many years now due to work. Since I was very little, I used to come with my family. Four years ago, together with Eric, we decided to get our season tickets and we usually take a flight to watch Valencia CF at Mestalla. This year, we also got the little one in the family, Axel, his own season ticket,” explains Ricardo Sanchis.
The Sanchis family were able to enjoy the team’s victory against Getafe CF and saw the Valencia CF players up close after the match.
“When we do this crazy thing of taking a plane, no matter when Valencia CF are playing, it’s because of the passion we have for the team. My eldest son never gets tired of it, we don’t miss a match under any circumstances. They are really happy, the whole family are Valencia CF supporters. Valencia CF is a feeling, a passion, and that’s what I try to pass on to my children, always respecting the other teams,” says Sanchis.
